Cloutman Residence
Built in Chestertown NY, on Friends Lake. The Cloutmans wanted a raised hearth and a mantle that they could reach from the floor. With the high openings of rumford style fireplaces this can be a problem! We decided to split the mantle into three pieces with the two lower mantles acting as caps for the
"pillars" on each side of the firebox. The Stone was provided by Adirondack Natural Stone in Whitehall NY.
